Bike Rio is a public bicycle sharing system in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The system began operations in October 2011, and is sponsored by the municipal government of Rio de Janeiro in partnership with Banco Itaú, and operated by Serttel, a private concessionaire. The bike sharing system has 600 bicycles available at 60 rental stations located in 14 neighborhoods throughout the city.
